Waddell, Marlene (Cleveland)

Marlene Waddell, 85, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Monday July 18, 2016 in a local hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Cordie Freeman Boring and George Worth Boring; and was also preceded in death by her son, Larry James Waddell; her great-grandsons, Cody Ransom Cole and Colby James Chastain; her sisters, Onis Burke and Rose Carmichael; and her brothers, Ollie Boring, Lamuel Boring and Carl Boring.

Ms. Waddell was retired from Hardwick Clothes as an Inspector with 25 years of service. She enjoyed sewing, puzzle books and reading her bible. Ms. Waddell attended the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Regina Cole and her husband Richard of North Carolina, Katheryn Elaine Garner and Brooke Denise Carr both of Cleveland; her sons, Steve Waddell and his wife Debby and Ronald Lynn Waddell both of Cleveland; her granddaughters, Michelle Cole-Jernigan and her husband Randy of North Carolina, Amanda Waddell and her companion Scott Corbin, Stephanie Barefield and her husband Brandon, Andrea Garner, Faith Chastain and her husband Josh and Holly Miller and her husband Anthony all of Cleveland; her grandsons, Chris Cole of North Carolina, Brett Waddell and his companion Brittany Turpin, Dakota Knighten and his companion Haley Lewis, Tage Carr and Sylar Carr all of Cleveland; her 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her brother, Palmer Lee Boring; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Friday, July 22, at 11 a.m. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Gary Forgey officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Josh Chastain, Dakota Knighten, Tage Carr, Brett Waddell, Greg Carr and Anthony Miller serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 21 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
