The Tennessee Environmental Health Association will be hosting the 2016 Hall of Fame induction and Awards Dinner on Sept. 29 at the Coffey Barn in Cleveland. Two new members will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year: Rick Johnson and Trish Gammons, both have dedicated their careers to the environmental health profession.
In addition, two TEHA annual awards will be given. The TEHA Community Partnership Award will be given to the city of Cleveland for the operation, promotion, and funding of the Greenway, promotion of the annual Mousecreek stream cleanup, and their operation and maintenance of multiple city parks.
The TEHA Educator of the Year award will be given to Johnny Mull for his impact on the Bradley County School System. Mr. Mull has helped to reduce energy and water consumption, improve indoor air quality, reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the community, and increased food safety through installation of new equipment.
