Special Event Street Closures For Sept. 1-6

Here are the special event street closures for Sept. 1-6. 

Thursday, Sept. 1
UTC Football Home Games: The Chattanooga Mocs announced the 2016 football schedule today.  UTC has an 11-game schedule set for the fall, including six home contests at Finley Stadium beginning with the opening game on Thursday. Road closures include Reggie White Boulevard in front of First TN Pavilion, Chestnut Street between 17th and 19th Street and 19th Street from Reggie White Boulevard to Chestnut Street.  

Saturday, Sept. 3
FCA 5K:  The annual 5K For FCA will be held at Chattanooga State on Saturday. This race has been traditionally held on Labor Day for the last 25 years, but has been moved to the Saturday before in hopes of drawing a larger field. For more information, visit www.chattanoogafca.org/race. No roads will be closed for this race, but there will be lane closures on Amnicola Highway in front of Chattanooga State and part of Riverport Road from 6-9 a.m.

Sunday, Sept. 4
Chattanooga Market: Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance to the skate park to 19th Street on Sunday from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. The largest producer-only public market in the region. Tuesday, Sept. 6
Street Rodder Tour - Shades of the Past: Fort Street between W. 13th St. and W. Main St. will be closed for this classic car display, as Coker Tire is a lunch stop along the 21st Anniversary Street Rodder Road Tour. Approximately 45 classic vehicles participate in the tour.
