David Wayne Stacy, 63,  of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at his home. 

He was born Dec. 30, 1952, in Chattanooga. He was a 1970 graduate of Red Bank High School and attended Chattanooga State and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. 

Mr. Stacy was a former employee for DuPont and was retired from Erlanger Medical Center after 32 years of service. 

He was a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church and was a former member of the Chattanooga Racing Pigeon Club. 

His father, Vernon Stacy preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Diane Healy Stacy; mother, Betty Stacy of Chattanooga; daughter, Lauren (Rad) Davenport of Soddy Daisy; sisters, Linda  (Butch) Groves of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Teresa (Dewey) Roberson of Hixson, and Judie Brewer of Chattanooga; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 2-4 p.m. at the North Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m. in the North Chapel with Reverend Gary Jared officiating. 

Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
