GPS, East Ridge Post Soccer Wins

The GPS girls soccer team beat Notre Dame 5-0 on Thursday led by Emily Large's two goals and one assist. 

GPS led 4-0 at the half. 

Meg Priest, Lily Hopping and Ashley Grant also had goals. 

Jai-la Hansford had two assists.  Ashley Grant and Mae Mae Bennett also had an assist. 

Lucy Newbold and Avery Campbell each had two saves for GPS

Notre Dame goal keeper Lauren Teal had nine saves. 

GPS improves to 8-1-2 overall and remains at 2-0-2 in Divison II region play. 

EAST RIDGE 4 CENTRAL 0 Serena Smith led East Ridge with two goals in their 4-0 win over Central on Thursday. 

Emily Spiers and Kolbie Record also had goals.
 East Ridge led 2-0 at the half. 

Kendall Record and Serena Smith had assists. 

The win give East Ridge the top seed going into the District 6-A/AA tournament with a 6-0 district record and a 6-2 overall record.
