WH ITWELL -- The Whitwell Tigers got to strut their stuff in front of the student body Friday afternoon as they defeated Sequatchie County by a 48-36 final in a prep wrestling match.

It may have been one of the shortest matches in history as there were 10 forfeits and only four matches actually wrestled.

John King and Daniel Mikel both had pins for Whitwell while Gavin Lee and Cameron Weaver both had pins for the Indians.  All four of those pins came in the first period.

Mikel was one of Whitwell's seniors honored before the match and he improved to 14-4 with his 1:37 pin at 182 pounds.

Both teams will be competing in the Mountain Top Invitational, which will be hosted by St. Andrews-Sewanee.
