Gracie Pitts Royal, 94, of Flintstone, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at NHC Nursing Home in Ft. Oglethorpe. She was a lifelong member of Flintstone Bapitst church and the Flintstone Community.
Gracie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wiley Edgar Royal; parents, William and Minnie Gracie Pitts; brother, Harold Pitts; and sister, Viola Pitts Pickard.
She is survived by her children, Charlene Royal Born, Eddy (Diane) Royal, and Lonnie (Angie) Royal; grandchildren, Jackie (Pattie) Born, Amy (Steve) Francisco, Randy Born, Todd Royal, Terry (Susan) Royal, Tracy (Kelley) Royal and Adam Royal; great-grandchildren, Lance (Sarah) Royal, Blake Royal, Scott Royal, Clint Royal, Kaitlyn Born, and Carlie Royal; great-great grandchild, Katherine Blake Royal; nephews, Bill (Doris) Bryson, Carl (Cathy) Pickard and Freddie Pitts.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31 in High Point Community Cemetery, with Rev. Brent Smith of Flintstone Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
