Iona Pearl Christopher Pennington, 95, of Trenton, passed away Nov. 16, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- and great-great grandmother. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard A. Pennington; parents John (Tom) and Ora Christopher; siblings, Willie Christopher, Lawrence Christopher, James Christopher, Leon Christopher, Louise Weldon and Imajean Martin.
She is survived by her daughters, Faye (R.D.) Johnson, Ider, Al., Jean (Garry) Tipton, Trenton, Brenda (Gary) Bell,Trenton; sons Wayne (Ida Faye) Pennington, Ringgold, Randy (Sheila) Pennington, Rock Spring; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother Cecil Christopher, Ider, Al.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Moore Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jim Lilley officiating. Interment will follow at Brown Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday 4-8 p.m.; Sunday noon-2:30 p.m.
