Firefighters To Hit The Streets For MDA This Thursday

Mayor Andy Berke, Chattanooga Fire Department, Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association, Local 820, and Muscular Dystrophy Association representatives and families will be present at a kick-off event for the MDA Fill the Boot Fundraiser on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. at Fire Station 1, 218 E. Main St.

More than 370 firefighters will fan out across the city to seek donations for the MDA March 23-25 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The locations will be provided in a news release, and on the department's Facebook page.

A young MDA ambassador will wave a flag to start the firefighters out on their fundraising mission at 10 a.m.
