Phillips, Ricky E. (Cleveland)

Ricky E. Phillips, 67, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in a Chattanooga health care facility.

Ricky was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Phillips; his mother, Mary Ruth Phillips; and his father-in-law, Bill McBryar.

He was retired from the Bradley County Road Department. Ricky enjoyed the outdoors including camping, fishing and NASCAR. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Ricky attended the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Karen McGrath and her husband Chris of Cleveland and Christie Corbin and her husband Randy of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Brandon Nations, Tanner Nations, Makayla Phillips, Kylie McGrath and Michelle Brewer; his great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Willow Brewer and River Phillips; his father, Thomas E. "Skeet" Phillips of Cleveland; his sister, Ann Waldrop and her husband Jim of Birmingham; his brother, Barry Phillips and his wife Patty of Cleveland; his mothers-in-law, Lois McBryar and Nancy McBryar both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, March 25, at 11 a.m. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Marty Cooper and Dr. Tim deRoos officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Brandon Nations, Tanner Nations, Darrell Waldrop, Chris Ballard, Snooks Ballard and Bob Murphy serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 24 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
