Helene Crowley, 83, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her home in Rossville, Georgia.

Mrs. Crowley was a native of Ansbach, Germany, and that is where she met her beloved husband, the late Timothy E. Crowley, while he was serving in the United States Army.  Following their marriage, Mr. Crowley was stationed in several European countries and their final duty station was in Alabama in the 1960s.  Upon retirement from the military, they moved to  New Smyrna Beach where she lived most of her adult life.  Mrs. Crowley was a loving caregiver, volunteered with the Seniors of New Smyrna Beach and really enjoyed playing bingo.  Her greatest passion was loving, nurturing, and taking care of children.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Walter Crowley.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Nancy) Crowley, Monroe, Michigan, Linda (Michael) Sarlo, Edgewater, Florida, and Donald (Frances) Crowley, Chickamauga, Ga.; brother, Albert (Rosie) Knollmeyer of Germany; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will hold private services at a later date.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
