Josh VanMeter hit a two-run double in the sixth inning, leading the Pensacola Blue Wahoos to a 6-1 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts on Monday.

Pensacola right-hander Austin Ross (6-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing one run on six hits over six innings.

The double by VanMeter scored Nick Senzel and Gavin LaValley to give the Blue Wahoos a 3-1 lead.

Opposing starter Randy LeBlanc (2-3) took the loss in the Southern League game after giving up three runs and five hits over 5 2/3 innings.

Despite the loss, Chattanooga is 9-1 against Pensacola this season.

Although the Lookouts seven game win streak came to an end on Monday night, the Lookouts earned their second series victory against the Blue Wahoos, after going 4-1 in the series, making it their tenth series victory in 2017.
