Jeanette Marlene Gentry, 78, of Rossville, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at a local health care facility. 

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and was of the Baptist faith. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Smith; and grandson, Caleb Gentry.

Survivors include her children, Chuck (Shelia) Gentry and Sherri (Eddie) Stone; sister, Patricia Henshaw; grandchildren, Amber, Jake, Olivia, Amber, Jonathan, Charly, and Brandon; six great grandchildren; niece, Wendy (Kevin) Stone; and nephew, Greg Henshaw.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the loving staff at NHC of Ft. Oglethorpe and Hearth Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with her grandson Jake Edgeman officiating.

Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
