Baylor Soccer has tie, win in Bearden Tourney

Red Raiders are 2-0-1 on the season

The Baylor girls soccer team earned a tie and a win Saturday at the Bearden soccer tournament. 

In the first game on Saturday, Baylor tied Knox Catholic 3-3.  

An Avery Davis goal gave Baylor  a 1-0 lead at half.

Knox Catholic tied the game early in the second half, followed by two Baylor goals from  Davis  and then Lea Hunter who scored off a cross from Davis for a 3-1 advantage.  

Knox Catholic's Caroline Green scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of the game to earn the 3-3 tie.  

Baylor's Shannon Urey had seven saves. 

In the second game. Baylor faced off with Farragut and won 2-1. 

Farragut scored the first goal and led 1-0 at the half. 

Baylor's Abbie Vibbert scored both goals in the second half assisted by Avery Davis. 

Peyton Randolph had seven saves for Baylor which improves to 2-0-1.
