Mildred "Sue" Shirley
Mildred “Sue” Shirley, 87, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017.
Sue was born in Sequatchie, Tn., on Nov. 18, 1929. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother. Sue was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church since 1950.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Thelma Mosier, her husband of 64 years, J.C. Shirley, and her two sons, Gary and James Shirley.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Jamie Shirley-Crutcher; great grandchildren, Brady Webster, Mason Webster, and Annslee Webster; granddaughter, Shannon Harper; great grandchildren, Zachary Shirley and Sierra Harper; and daughter-in-law, Ann Shirley.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel.
The funeral service will be at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 12 p.m. with Pastor James Buttram Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sequatchie.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
