Siskin Hospital Nurses Earn Specialty Certification

  • Thursday, September 21, 2017

Siskin Hospital announced that eight members of its nursing staff have recently achieved Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) status.

With this accomplishment, 52 percent of Siskin Hospital’s eligible bedside nurses are now CRRN certified.

The nurses are John Anastas, Erresha Jackson, Teresa McAlister, Stacy Pemberton, Tonya Perryman, Kathleen Post, Tracy Reed and Sarah Walker.

The certification is awarded by the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.

“The CRRN designation demonstrates our nurses’ expertise in the care of patients with physical disabilities,” said Siskin Hospital President and CEO Carol Sim.

The CRRN credential reflects expert knowledge in the nursing care of rehabilitation patients as well as legislative, economic, ethical and legal issues.
