Robert Lee Conner, 86, born on September 1, 1931, and a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to be with God on September 28, 2017. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 38 years, Donna Conner; daughters, Brittanie Conner, Stephanie Duke, and Carolyn White; sons, Charles Conner and William Conner; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, all of Cleveland, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Robert was a great husband, father, and friend to all that knew him and he will be truly missed. He was always an extremely hard worker, always providing for his family, and he was always happy to do it. Many knew Robert as the best story teller there was. He was and will always be a hero to his family.

The family will have a celebration of life funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, at Companion Funeral Home, at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 5-9 p.m., as well as on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service time, both at the funeral home. 

Following the service, Robert will be laid to rest in the Tumbling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, in Copperhill, Tn.
