Worked For Double Cola For Over 57 Years

Dot Forester Myers, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 29, 2018.

She was a loving aunt and friend to all her family. She was 88 years old. Dot became associated with Double Cola in Chattanooga, where she worked for over 57 years. Dot and her husband, David Myers lived a wonderful life together Red Bank, where they constantly gave to others before themselves. She was an active member of Red Bank Baptist Church, Sunday School Class and several services and clubs.

Dot was preceded in death by her husband, David Myers; her parents, Paul and Robbie Forester; her twin sisters, Ruth Mockbee and Ruby Forester, and sister, Frances Forester-Finnell.

Dot is survived by her nephew, Thomas Jordan Mockbee, III (Linda) (Virginia) nieces, Dorothy Mary Mockbee (Chattanooga), Paula Kay Lambert (Florida): great-nephew, Cy Lambert, (Florida); brother-in-law, Paul Finnell (Gail)(Chattanooga); and many cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, and a service for Dot Myers will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, officiated by Bill Harvey, pastor from Red Bank Baptist Church, conducted at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Hixson. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens next door.

We wish to give our most sincere thanks and appreciation to all the people of Hixson Life Care Center of Chattanooga that were involved in giving their love and care to Dot after her fall and illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Red Bank Baptist Church in Dot's honor.

 Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
