Bette Joan Cunningham, 86, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late William Henry Reeves and Sadie Wagoner Reeves and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Vann Cunningham, and son, Joe William Cunningham.
Joan was the librarian at John A. Patton Elementary School for several years. She was an accomplished and well regarded artist. She was a member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her three children, J. Vann Cunningham (Jerri), Ernest J. Cunningham, Lou Ann Hoodenpyle (David) and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Darrin Hering officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens- West.
The family will receive friends from 5–8 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 12:30–1:30 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
