We Need Esther

Friday, October 19, 2018

I've made it no secret that I support Esther Helton. I've been behind her efforts to make East Ridge a better place to live by helping create - and utilizing - a more transparent city government. She's proven herself to be trustworthy and hard working.

As a former Democrat myself, I understand her choosing to become an active member of the Republican Party. While Democrats talk about "better jobs", Republicans across this great country (at every level of government) have already produced a more 'job friendly' business environment. Our much maligned President has simply refused to let criticism and lies deter him from his mission.

I've watched Esther deflect some of the same tactics in the past with grace and class as she moved forward instead of dwelling on the past or allowing herself to descend into the "politics of shame". She's truly a pro-life advocate whose own experience required her to make a tough - but right - decision.

She has the moral character and the integrity that Tennesseans need and deserve... join me and vote to elect Esther as our state representative. We need Esther.

Roy Exum: Alabama’s Flat-Out Wrong

Ever since Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed into law the most nauseating abortion legislation in the history of the United States on Wednesday, I have tried to find a worse decision by the lawmakers in any state to equal such absurdity and I most certainly cannot. While I am confident those in the State house would have voted differently had each been asked, “What if it was your ... (click for more)
