The Mythical Lemmings - And Response

  • Friday, October 26, 2018

The mythical lemmings suicide march over a steep cliff remains even today as true.  We might be featuring a similar lemmings march in this country.

We have a president of the United States that as the head lemming is convincing more and more people that what he says and does is just okay.  "Just follow me, I know the way," is his motto.

The very disturbed bomb-maker is a product of Donald Trump's leadership. Still another is the reporter body slammed by a congressmen or this one, some of the GOP so believe in Trump leadership that they act like him and even tell their toddler bedtime stories about Donald Trump. That especially is a good one.

The members of the GOP that are silently going along with the suicide march to the sea, mythically speaking, and need to begin speaking out about the president's behavior. It does and will hurt this country.

Mr. Brooks, if your intended purpose of attempting to connect a child’s 800-year-old bedtime story with current election reality, you’ve missed the mark.

The Pied Piper of Hamlin was not “the head rat.” He was a magical minstrel hired for the purpose of luring lemmings away from a village in an effort to save the children, postulated as a metaphor for the “black plague.” When the villagers refused to “pay the piper” the minstrel returned a year later to musically seduce those same children away from their village never to be seen again.

Let us use your own metaphoric vehicle: we have a magical minstrel capable of luring away obvious evils and was elected to do just that. Now, liberals refuse to “pay the piper” failing to credit so many of the “evils” undone and are afraid the piper will redouble his efforts upon an ungrateful class.

I applaud our magical minstrel and have no doubt, if allowed to continue his musical interlude, will solve many more Obama-imposed shenanigans. No, I cannot say I can fully appreciate the manner of his communications, word choices or compromising stunts, but America didn’t elect Donald Trump for his personal manner, clumsy speaking methods or propensity for pet-names. America voted out Barack Obama and his less-than-stellar presidential tenure for alternative views that held clarity of thought aligned with middle America. A majority of Americans continue to want this, fervently.

It concerns me so many other American cannot see the positive aspects of our current administration, blinded by the thwarting of Mrs. Clinton’s questionable tactics and background. There is more here to appreciate than reject. Hopefully, November 6th will be a telling test.
