Richard L. Pankey, 97, of Rossville, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.

Richard was a retired school principal at Temple Heights Christian School in Tampa, Fl. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church (currently Church of the Highlands). 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Cynthia Moree Pankey.

Richard is survived by three children, James (Katherine) Pankey, Reverend Richard A. (Janice) Pankey, and Virgie (Larry) Mink; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bettie Jean Murphy and Billy Joe (Helen) Pankey; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, and 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Monday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Richard will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, at the North Chapel with Reverend Scott McCurdy officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Highlands, 6621 Hunter Road, Harrison, Tn. 37341.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
