Reverend Willie J. Brown, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, in the Hospice Care Center. 

He confessed Christ as his Savior at an early age and united with Peace & Bethlehem Baptist Church in Roanoke, Al.  He was a graduate of Randolph County Training School and then enlisted in the Air Force and received an honorable discharge.  Reverend Brown worked at Combustion Engineering, Inc. for many years.  He moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and worked at Liebel Flarsheim Company for 28 years before retiring.  He served as Pastor of New Gospel Missionary Baptist Church for over 25 years.  Reverend Brown graduated for the Cincinnati Bible College in 1983.  He was a member of Cincinnati Ministerial Alliance.  Reverend Brown was a member of St. John Lodge #3, Past Master; Prince White Chapter #1, Royal Arch Mason, Past High Priest; John P. Stein #12, Royal and Select Mason, member; Simon Commandary #1, Past Eminent Commander; Alpha Priory #1, member and Sinai Temple #59, member.  He was also a member of American Legion Post #95 and D.V. A. (Disabled Veterans Administration). 

Reverend Brown was preceded in death by his parents, William and Tommie Brown; infant sister, Virginia Brown; and wives, Earlean Brown and Ann Brown. 

Survivors include his sons, Willie (Kerry) Brown of Cincinnati, OH and Paul (Stephanie) Brown; daughters, Dianne B. Hicks, Patricia Brown (Rickey) Blackmon, and Maeola Brown, all of Chattanooga, Julia Griffin of Lanett, AL, and Priscilla Childs of LaGrange, GA; brother, Gerald Brown of Chattanooga; 15 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Vivian  Freeman, Angie Brown, Vivian Brown, Cassandra Brown, Don Jones and Jesse Dupree; other relatives and friends. 

 He will lie in state on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 9:30 a.m. at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church.

The Masonic Service will be at 10:30 a.m. and the funeral will follow at noon with Reverend Herman Jordan as the eulogist. 

Burial will be on Monday, Nov. 26, at 10:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
