Haskel Leon "Hack" Smith, 80, of Dunlap, passed away Friday February 23, 2018 at his home. Mr. Smith served his country in the Air Force. He was a member at Dunlap Church of God. He retired from Wheland foundry.
He was preceded in death by parents, Joe Hershel and Vina Wright Smith; and brother, Bolen "Bo" Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sampson Smith; daughters, Patricia (James) Keener, both of Dunlap and Teresa Smith, Chattanooga; brother, Dan (Cotton) Smith, Dunlap; five grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Whitney, Brooke and Michael; one great-grandson, Jamie; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. CST Monday, Feb. 26 in Ewton Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Collier Cemetery.
The family suggests donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Amedisys Hospice.
Visitation; 6 -8 p.m. Saturday and 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
