CCS, Notre Dame In DII District 2 Finals

Both boys and girls teams from CCS and Notre Dame won their semifinal games on Thursday night in the Division II Class A District 2 tournament hosted by the Irish and will face off in Friday's district championship games. 

CCS girls beat Silverdale 65-42 and the boys beat Boyd-Buchanan 66-57.  

In the other girls semifinal, Notre Dame beat Grace 50-24.   Notre Dame boys and Silverdale faced off in the late semifinal and the Irish won 51-39.

4 p.m. Girls Consolation - Silverdale vs Grace

5:30 p.m. Boys Consolation - Boyd-Buchanan vs Silverdale

7 p.m. Girls Championship - Notre Dame vs CCS

8:30 p.m. Boys Championship - Notre Dame vs CCS

Hixson High School baseball standout Jack Julian has signed with MTSU to continue his academic and baseball career. A signing ceremony was held recently at the school with teammates, coaches, family, and friends in attendance. Earthquakes Hit Tennessee Valley Early Wednesday Morning

Two earthquakes happened early Wednesday morning just north of Chattanooga, awakening many early in the morning. The earthquakes registered at 4.4 and 3.3 magnitudes at 4:27 a.m. Some people felt them in North Chattanooga and Ooltewah. They were also felt as far away as Atlanta.
