Lett, Billy Joe (Decatur)

Billy Joe Lett, 33, of Decatur, passed away March 8, 2018 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Shirley Lett and had been a resident of Decatur for the past 18 years, coming from West Virginia. Billy loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Billy Joe and Martha Lett; his maternal grandfather, George Washington Finley; and a sister, Martha Lett. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Cassandra Lett of Decatur; his children, Brandon and Brianna Lett of Decatur; his father, William Lett of West Virginia; his mother, Shirley Lett of Decatur; a sister, Brandy Lett of Decatur; and a host of extended family members and friends. 

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 14, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Pastor Jamey Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Decatur. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 13, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. 

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the following individuals who will be serving as Pall Bearers: Wesley Benton, Ralph Warrick, Chris Warrick, Joe Warrick, Jimmy Cox, Robert Martin, Daryl Morgan and Jordan Green.
