Belinda Lloyd
Belinda (Akins) Lloyd, 66, of Chattanooga, received her wings on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in a local hospital. She was a 1970 graduate of Riverside High School.
Belinda retired as a certified nursing assistant from Parkridge Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marion Williams; father, Bernard Akins; mother-in-law, Jessie Mae Bradley; nephew, D’Angelo M. Vance; brother-in-law, James Bonner; and grandparents, Arthur and Mattie Chisolm.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Evander Elliott Lloyd, Sr.; sons, Quillian Akins, Akil Lloyd, and Evander Elliott (Tiffany) Lloyd, Jr.; daughter, Yashika Ward; grandchildren, Jordan Akins, Quintavious Akins, Kendall Townsend, Alexander Lloyd, Autumn Lloyd, and Jaliah Lloyd; brothers, Ronald Westbrook, Calvin (Marites) Colbert, Jr.; sisters, Apostle Connie Bonner, Calvereen (Larry) Ryals, Joyce E. Colbert; nephews, Kenya (Nikki) Colbert, Gerald Williams, Mykah Colbert, Christopher Colbert, and Derrick (Debra) Shaw; nieces, Toshiba K. (KT) Robinson, Shasta Minyum (Chancy) Reynolds, Tenisha Williams, Marisa Logan, Brittany Westbrook, Megan Colbert, Quinnikia Espey, and Latoya Colbert; sisters-in-law, Beverly Bigoms and Ernestine Williams, all of Chattanooga; a host of great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
She will lie-in-state on Friday, April 6, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Kevin L. Adams, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
