Couch, Bobby George (Cleveland)

Bobby George Couch, 81, a longtime resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday night, June 23, 2018 at his home.

Bobby was born in Cleveland on September 18, 1936 a son of the late George and Nancy Ellen Couch. He was employed for many years prior to retirement by Cleveland Chair Company and lastly by B & W Woodcraft. Bobby enjoyed fishing but mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years Velma Truelove Couch, four children Jeff Couch (Tina), Chris Couch, Tonya Rogers (Jody) and Danny Couch, five grandchildren Scott Couch, Lil’ Chris Couch, Kayla Rogers, Jazmene Rogers and Katie Cross, seven great grandchildren Frankie Couch, Layla Adkins, Gabby Adkins, Sammy Adkins, Alaya Palmer, Lilly Palmer and Haley Couch, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, June 26, from 6–8 p.m. at Washington Avenue Baptist Church at 1720 Perry Street SE in Cleveland. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 27, at 1 p.m. in the sanctuary of Washington Avenue Baptist Church with the Reverend Jason Butte officiating. Interment will follow in the Moore’s Chapel Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
