Jewell Elizabeth Sparks, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018, in a local hospital.

She retired from the Chattanooga Public School System.  She was a member of E. Third Street Church of Christ where she attended faithfully until her health prevented her from attending. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Sparks; sons, Thomas “Popeye” Robinson, Jr. and Ronald Robinson; granddaughter, Shantay Dozier; great-grandson, Kevin Albert, Jr.; son-in-law, Robert “Dusty” Dozier, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Clara Robinson; and brother, Leon “Lil Fuzz” Walker. 

Survivors include her son, James Robinson; daughters, Carolyn Dozier and Jacqueline (Lewis) Casey; adopted daughters, Shirley Davis and Deborah McWay, all of Chattanooga; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be on Monday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at noon in the chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
