A large crowd filled the Museum Center at 5ive Points Thursday evening to celebrate more than two and a half decades of service to the city of Cleveland by Mayor Tom Rowland. 

Mayor Rowland became mayor in 1991 and is the longest serving city mayor in Tennessee. He announced in January that he would retire this year. 

Clevelanders of all ages and backgrounds gathered to celebrate Mayor Rowland’s 27 years of leadership and accomplishments.  

Mayor-elect Kevin Brooks and Councilman-elect Ken Webb along with re-elected Councilmmen Charlie McKenzie and Bill Estes begin their new terms Sept.

10 when they take their oaths of office at 3 p.m. at the Museum Center at 5ive Points.
