Local teachers in the visual and performing arts were able to come together and share their craft and learn from each other this week thanks to Neuhoff Taylor Architects, P.C. and Advanced Energy Engineering & Design, Inc.   The two companies sponsored the Hamilton County Visual & Performing Arts In-Service Day on Wednesday at First Baptist Church on Gateway Avenue.

"The day was special in that all Hamilton County Schools visual and performing arts teachers had the opportunity to meet together for a day of training, networking, and planning,” said Claire Stockman, related arts lead teacher for Hamilton County Schools.  "The instructors learned about new state standards for fine arts, opportunities in our local arts community, and shared best practices. Thank you to First Baptist Church for hosting and providing a place for our group to spread out and learn from one another."

The in-service day was attended by dance, theatre, visual arts, music, chorus, band, and orchestra teachers.

“We are glad to be a part of the Arts In-Service Day and support your efforts,” said Pat Neuhoff, president of Neuhoff Taylor Architects, P.C.  “Art is a must for our schools.”
