TNStars To Offer Scholarship Opportunity At Hamilton County Fair

  • Tuesday, September 25, 2018

The TNStars College Savings 529 Program will host a booth at the Hamilton County Fair this weekend where fair attendees will have the opportunity to win a college savings scholarship.

The booth will be at the fair on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Visitors may guess the amount of money for a chance to win. The person with the closest guess will win a scholarship equal to that amount into a TNStars account.

As part of College Savings Month, the TNStars client service team will be on-site to help Tennesseans learn more about the benefits of saving early for college. Research shows that students with dedicated savings for college are approximately seven times more likely to attend college than children with no dedicated account.

TNStars is a program of the Tennessee Treasury Department. TNStars offers high quality investment options at a low cost to help families save tax-free for future college expenses. To learn more about TNStars or to open an account, visit TNStars.com.
