Butcher, Charles Amos (Cleveland)

Charles Amos Butcher, 92, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on January 19, 2019.

He was born on Nov. 24, 1926, to the late Vertie and Elizabeth Butcher. Charles loved watching Ohio State Football and working in his rose garden. He also loved traveling and was a veteran of the United States Navy. 

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Butcher; son David Butcher. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Daniel (Sandi) Butcher; daughter, Beth Butcher; sisters, Joann Bloom and Rosie Carman; grandchildren, Cameron Butcher (Lindsey), Christian Butcher and Garrett Butcher. 

The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church at 3405 Peerless Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37312.
