Karla Lee Brooker Motley, age 54, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clifford and Sallie Brooker and Coy and Jo Douglas. Karla was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Southeast Toyota Comptroller Association and North Georgia Walk to Emmaus.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a 1982 Northwest High School graduate. She loved traveling, going on vacations, especially Disney trips.

She is survived by her husband, Perry Motley; daughter, Allie Motley; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Jordi Motley; parents, Harold and Kathryn Brooker, all of Dalton; in-laws, Elroy and Junita Motley of Lafayette; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Stephen Yarbrough of Dalton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Scott and Rhonda Motley of Tunnel Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hal and Ashley Brooker of Knoxville, Tommy and Shea Brooker of Dalton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Keri Motley of Lafayette; grandson, Boone Ryker McClain; nieces and nephews, Dale, Sarah and Coy Reed, Josie, Cade and Colt Brooker, Will, Livie, Lilah and Wyatt Brooker, Katlin and Hannah Yarbrough, Ivan Motley, Justin Motley and Cassandra Mays, Lauren Motley and Ky Queen, Leslie Motley, Jacob Motley and Rachel White; and special friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 4:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Mullis and Rev. Tyson Griffin officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 12-4:30 p.m.

Burial will be in the Brooker Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Reed, Will Brooker, Wyatt Brooker, Cade Brooker, Colt Brooker, Ivan Motley, Jacob Motley and Justin Motley.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Karla’s memory to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
