Cleveland State Softball Sweeps West Georgia Tech

Softball swept West Georgia Tech on Wednesday, winning 9-1 and 9-6.


In the first game, both Hannah Turner and Hailey Galvan hit home runs. Galvan also recorded four RBI. Kaitlyn Pickens was the game-winning pitcher.


In the second game, the Lady Cougars stayed hot at the plate, recording 13 hits.

Aubrie Bowman led off the game with a homerun and Leslie Harris recorded three hits. Pitching-wise, Bekah Copas recorded the win and Peyton Varela got the save.


Cleveland State will continue conference play on Friday and Saturday at home against Chattanooga State. Friday’s two-game slate starts at 2:00 ET and Saturday’s doubleheader starts at 12:00 ET.
