Man o' man do I love our direct flight to D.C. Yes, I do. However, I don't run that route often. Instead I'm a regular customer of Allegiant Airlines, flying between Chattanooga and Sanford, Fl.
Just like with other airlines, there have been frustrating and challenging days for flight but, overall, I'm satisfied, except when an Allegiant cancellation occurs there is not another flight option for days so I have to go to Knoxville.
Today I asked a lady at our airport (which I still call Lovell Field!) and she had no answer. So I thought I would ask out loud my friend, Chairman Dan at the Airport Authority and / or Terry Hart of airport fame.
Allegiant Air flies only two days a week out of CHA while they fly six days a week out of the Knoxville airport. And today Allegiant has announced more directs out of Knoxville to Pittsburgh and Denver and other stops. The question is: how do we get more days of Allegiant flights out of CHA?
Oh, yes, and I want my buddies at Groome Transportation to look at those Allegiant directs out of Knoxville. It may be time to consider shuttle runs up I-75. J.R. will surely pick up one of the rides.
