The McCallie tennis team defeated Baylor 4-0 in the state semifinals Tuesday at Old Fort Park in Murfreesboro, then went on to win the state championship.
McCallie defeated MBA 4-1 in the state finals. The Blue Tornado finished the season 16-1.
Against Baylor, McCallie claimed the doubles point along with three singles victories.
McCallie won the Chattanooga Rotary, the Buckhead Rotary and the Carter Invitational in Nashville in addition to the state championship.
MBA had defeated MUS 4-3 in the other semifinal.
