Justice Was Denied By The Hamilton County DA And Courts

  • Wednesday, August 21, 2019

Lets evaluate some indisputable facts. While driving in the narrowest section of Brainerd Road, Neshala Massengale deliberately ignored a red light (in a notoriously sight restricted area) while doing 49 mph (thank you collision computer and or investigations team).

Neshala Massengale did so knowingly and illegally without the state required collusion insurance.

The resulting wreck robbed a husband, son, parents and students of Hamilton County Schools of a loved, talented daughter, wife, mother, and beloved Normal Park School teacher.

Think about this. What was the speed limit in the area? Thirty-five not 49. But what was Neshala Massengale's speed limit at a red traffic light with no insurance? Exactly zero. Neshala Massengale should not have been driving at all.

Neshala Massengale ignored laws, Neshala Massengale took a life. It is judgment day.

Homicide brings what penalty? Assistant District Attorney David Schmidt and General Session Court Judge Lila Statom decided that negligent vehicular homicide, without insurance, deserves only 90 days in our county jail.

Our courts system has stated that justice was done for Neshala Massengale.

Who will provide justice for the crime Neshala Massengale committed on our community?

Justice was certainly was not provided by the DA's office or the General Session Court of Hamilton County. Not for our citizens, not for a family whose lives were forever destroyed by the selfishness of Neshala Massengale.
