Larry Smith
Larry O’Neal Smith, Sr., 70, passed away on January 6, 2020, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on July 16, 1949, to Precious E. Underwood and Frank P. Smith in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Riverside High School. Larry truly believed in the Lord and read his Bible. He was of the Baptist faith. Larry retired from Siskins Steel & Supply after 38 years of service.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Precious E. Underwood; father, Frank Pink Smith; sister, Frankie Dickerson; brother, Leonard Smith; nephew, Kaiser Taylor.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Teresa A. Smith; sons, Terrance Anton Smith, Darwin O’Neal Smith, Larry O’Neal Smith, Jr., and Gregory (Marcey) Belue; daughter, Angle Belue; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, James Arthur Smith, Michael Smith; brothers in law, Willie Bell, Eddie (Gloria) Bell, Sr.; sister-in-law, Sandra (Derrick) Hammond; a host of nieces, nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will begin after noon on Friday, Jan. 17, and the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, in the chapel. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens - East.
