Kenneth Whitton, 80, of Rossville, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020, in a local health care facility surrounded by his loving family.

Kenneth first worked for James Wilson Company as an operating engineer then went to work for the City of Rossville as a Maintenance Supervisor, lovingly nicknamed “Mr. Fix It,” until his retirement in 2001. He was a volunteer fireman for the City of Rossville who was highly involved with Walker and Catoosa Counties Stockings Full of Love recruiting people to participate in the Annual Motorcycle Ride. Kenneth was the mastermind behind Chattanooga Charlie’s Motorcycle Creations helping to create unique motorcycle designs. People all throughout the country knew Kenneth because of his motorcycle journeys.  He enjoyed wood working, making wood bowls, and wooden American Flags. Kenneth had a way of including everyone and making people feel like they were his best friend. He was known as a true gentleman in today’s world. His passions in life were his bride, June, family, friends, blue grass music and the OFC Motorcycle Riders.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rena Whitton and brother, Chattanooga Charlie Whitton.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, June Culberson Whitton; children: Cindy (Harold) Baker, Randy Whitton, and Sherry (Tommy) Daniel; grandchildren, April (Charles) McKeel, Jarad (Amber) Baker, Hayley  (Luke) Repass, and Clayton Baker; great-grandchildren: Collin, Braden, Jaxon, Hendrix, Eli, Avery, Ethan, and Marlie; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, January 28, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Sonny Vick officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.  Honorary pallbearers will be OFC Motorcycle Riders.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rossville High School Alumni “Children Christmas Fund” at P.O. Box 1001, Rossville, Ga. 30741 or Walker County Stocking Full of Love, 105 S. Duke Street, LaFayette, Ga. 30728.
