Mayor Trohanis Has Had A Positive Influence On Walden - And Response

  • Wednesday, October 21, 2020

I have interacted with Mr. Trohanis socially and administratively over many years. His enthusiasm and zeal for his position as mayor are exemplary, his affection for the community undeniable.  His administrative approach, considering many aspects of situations, questioning the pros and cons of each, seeking constituent input, evaluating the ramifications for the town, and acting accordingly, has clearly been successful.

Undoubtedly, Mr. Trohanis has exerted a positive influence on Walden. The control of the town budget, which helps maintain low property taxes, and the reclamation of the McCoy Farm and Gardens are fair, yet not the only, examples.

The future is coming. Mr. Trohanis has demonstrated the dedication and commitment necessary, even for the leadership of small communities, to meet the known and unforeseen challenges time will bring.

We support the re-election of Bill Trohanis to continue his exceptional leadership as mayor of Walden. As 26-year residents of Walden, we understand the values of the community in which we chose to spend the rest of our lives. Mayor Trohanis will protect, enhance, and extend these values into the future.

He has demonstrated the time and willingness to be a full-time mayor with unending energy toward projects such as McCoy Farm, Pumpkin Parch re-vitalization, and the new Puppy Patch. Walden’s free public amenities are unsurpassed by neighboring communities.

A place for friends, family, pets, weddings, holiday celebrations and private events have made McCoy a public amenity to be proud of.

Effective fiscal responsibility, personal involvement in real time management of infrastructure upgrades such as WRES facility, paving, and weather awareness.

Forward thinking management of community convenience and revenue opportunities through the Town Center, with thoughtful requirements for responsible development.

Town Center development will offset tax revenue losses from elimination of the Hall tax. What is the alternative? We do not want our property taxes raised.

Bill Trohanis has done the job, he is the person for the job, and we need him now more than ever.
