Charles William “C.W.” Bullins, 84, passed away in a Chattanooga Hospital on Monday, November 9, 2020. He was born in Polk County on November 18, 1935 to the late Albert and Nonnie Bullins. Although C.W. was a proud Polk Countian he lived the majority of his life in Cleveland.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Bowater Paper Mill after 42 ½ years of working as a machine tender. His passion in life was WORK which included yard mowing all around Cleveland. You could often find him circling Brookside and Villa Drives checking on his various rental properties and driving to Polk County to check on Bullins Road. For leisure he did enjoy fishing, oftentimes with his fishing buddy and cousin, Charles Edwards. C.W. was a regular attender of North Cleveland Church of God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Crane Bullins; daughter, Linda Sue Bullins; and brother, Gene Bullins.

Left behind to cherish his memory will be his son, Steve Bullins (Emily) and their sons, Reed, Chandler and Evan; his loving wife, Nina Roberson Shelton Bullins, who has brought him so much joy in the past three years of his life, and her children and grandchildren; his brothers, Willis Bullins and Wallace Bullins; special cousins, Dr. Phyllis Miller and Charles Edwards; as well as several extended family and friends.

A Celebration of C.W.’s life will be held at Westmore Church of God, 2440 Legacy Pkwy. NW in Cleveland, on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m., with the Revs. Cy Harris and Kelvin Page officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon-2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, with Charles Edwards, Reed Bullins, Chandler Bullins, Evan Bullins, David Crane, Clint Ledford and Joe Renner serving as pallbearers. Rich “Bluebird” Burns will serve as honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.

Companion Funeral Home and the Cody family are honored to assist the Bullins family with C.W.'s final arrangements. Leave a note of condolence on C.W.'s memorial webpage at www.companionfunerals.com.
