Mary Elizabeth Haddock, 89, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mary was the daughter of the late Jefferson and Melissa Whitt.

She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Marion David Haddock Sr., and two sons, Jack and Mike Haddock.

She is survived by her son, David (Susie) Haddock, Chattanooga; six grandchildren, Dave Haddock, Nashville, Tn., John (Amy) Haddock, Signal Mountain, Laura (Trey) Bridges, Knoxville, Tn., Charlie (Courtney) Haddock, Roswell, Ga., Dawn Siders, Clarksville, Tn., and Matthew Haddock, Harrison; eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend David Hall officiating. A private family burial will be held Monday at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Morning Pointe Greenbriar Cove for their love and care.

Georgia Coronavirus Cases Now Over 10,000; 369 Deaths

Georgia state health officials said Wednesday evening that another seven people have died from the coronavirus since Wednesday morning, bringing the total to 369. The confirmed cases are now over 10,000, at 10,189, up from 9,156 on Tuesday. Officials said 2,082 have been hospitalized in Georgia with the deadly virus - up from 1,899 on Tuesday. Tennessee now has 79 coronavirus deaths - up seven since the Tuesday report. Cases have gone up from 4,138 to 4,362. Officials said 449 people have been hospitalized in the state from coronavirus.
