Chattanooga FC Signs Three More Players

  • Friday, February 28, 2020
Chattanooga Football Club is proud to announce the signing of Ryan Marcano, Alec McKinley, and Nick Spielman to the club for the 2020 Spring season. Each player brings their own specialty to the club, and Head Coach Peter Fuller is thrilled that they are here for the Spring. Here's a rundown on each player:

Defensive Midfielder Alec McKinley: Alec joins us from the University of Mobile, and led the team deep into the NAIA playoffs. McKinley started his career with the Portland Timbers youth academy.

Head Coach Peter Fuller: “Alec has had an excellent youth career most recently playing with Portland Timbers of the US developmental academy.
He played this last fall for the University of Mobile and was one of the main cogs in a team that went to the round of 16 in the NAIA national tournament.”

Alec McKinley: “I’m delighted to be joining such a good club like Chattanooga FC and looking forward to learning and becoming a better player under top class coach Peter Fuller.”

Forward Ryan Marcano: Ryan comes to the Scenic City by way of Oglethorpe University, where he scored 12 goals in 19 games last season. His 2019 season earned him a spot on the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Men's Division III All-South Atlantic Region Team.

Coach Fuller: “It is a pleasure to welcome Ryan Marcano to the fold. He has had an outstanding career at Oglethorpe University and has been in training camp with Birmingham Legion of the USL Championship. Ryan is an outstanding athlete who has great potential in terms of pro soccer in this country. It is a pleasure to welcome him to CFC!”

Ryan Marcano: “The best is yet to come.”

Midfielder Nick Spielman: Nick may be a familiar face to the most eagle-eyed supporters in the Scenic City. Spielman played in a few of the non conference matches for Chattanooga FC in 2019. Prior to that, Nick played alongside another CFC fan favorite, Cameron Woodfin at ETSU

Coach Fuller: “We are pleased to welcome Nick Spielman to the CFC family. Nick has participated in past non-conference matches for us during the 2019 season. He will add depth to our defensive midfield and central defender positions.”

Nick Spielman: “I’m really excited and grateful to have the opportunity to play for Chattanooga FC this season… the atmosphere is amazing; from the professionalism of the organization to the community support. I look forward to being a part of it all.”

Supporters will get a first chance to see all three in action on February 29th in Oakland, CA against Oakland Roots, and March 14th against Michigan Stars. Chattanooga FC’s NISA Spring schedule is out and is available on ChattanoogaFC.com. Annual passes, Flex tickets, and single game tickets are available now at ChattanoogaFC.com.
