Has The Cure Become Worse Than The Disease - And Response (3)

Has the cure become worse than the disease?

Historically, the flu infects a billion people worldwide every year resulting in 290-650 thousand deaths.

According to www.worldometer info as of April 1, worldwide there have been only 935,197 cases of the Wuhan flu in the last four months. There are only 694,016 active cases and 47,192 deaths ---worldwide. That is nothing by comparison to a typical year of the flu. We are being stampeded.

We are not in an emergency that requires our nation to destroy our culture. Schools, businesses and churches are all closed --and now state borders, shelter-in-place measures.

We know that annually the flu comes in the winter and then it diminishes and disappears in the spring and summer and it has nothing to do with our fear peddling medical community. Either because of warmer temperatures, our exposure to more sunlight, increased production of vitamin D or whatever, it disappears. We are in this phase now.

In two years the Wuhan flu will be a distant memory. But the dismantling that we are doing to our liberties will last.

With more than $20 trillion in national debt, we just borrowed another $2.3 trillion and are talking about another $2 trillion.

God declares in Proverbs 22:7 that “the borrower is servant to the lender.”

My question is, “Whose slaves are we becoming?

Yes, Covid-19 is scarier than the flu and the numbers are going to get worse. If someone has the flu they usually know it and advise people to keep their distance from them but with COVID-19 you can walk around feeling fine and passing it on to many people because you don't know your a carrier. And it appears you don't see the chaos shown nightly on the news in some hospitals that you would during a flu outbreak.

It is a dangerous time now and we need to take heed and listen and follow instructions because we are smart, intelligent people and not "slaves".

I have a question as well and Mr. Wysong touches on it briefly.  What are current number of cases active in Hamilton County at this time?  All we have is a running tally of confirmed cases which I know makes for a more gruesome headline and promotes click bait but it just feels like selective journalism.

The main reason I ask is it might show if the current mandates in place are working and if they have been effective and how to proceed before any more executive orders are put in place or extended.

If the active cases are declining and reported as so it might also relieve some of the anxiety, tension and overall stress the majority are feeling right now and at the very least show some light at the end of the tunnel.  If active cases are not decreasing and reported as so then we will know more measures are needed but from what I have heard from those that are employed at Erlanger is it is basically a ghost town right now.

Let’s all pray it stays that way if that is the case, but I would also like all the facts to be reported in order to formulate a rational train of thought.

Stay safe.

Mr. Wysong: The COVID-19 pandemic is NOT like the flu. While the flu may affect millions of people every year, Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Match 11, that the death rate from the flu is about  0.1 percent per year. That is one-tenth of one percent. However, look at the statistics for COVID-19. If your numbers are correct and there have been 935,197 cases in the past four months with 47,192 deaths, this equals a death rate of more than 5 percent. Five percent.

Look at Hamilton County. As of tonight, there are 68 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hamilton County and eight deaths. That means our death rate from COVID-19 is 12 percent. Yes, twelve percent. The high percentage of deaths from COVID-19 coupled with no known vaccine, and its silent carriers make this very different than the flu.

So please look at the overall picture and realize that while you think there is an overreaction and a loss of liberty during this pandemic, the numbers don't lie. I will continue to shelter in place, order groceries online and disinfect them, disinfect my mail and packages, wear a mask and gloves and practice social distancing. It is the least I can do to show compassion and patriotism for my country and for those who are suffering. I wish you, and others like you, would do the same.
