Nope, I have no time for politics or even a shortened baseball season. College football, whatever it will look like, has to wait. There is a more urgent matter this week.
You see, every year I buy a coupon book from a future salesperson who is currently a student in a Hamilton County elementary school. I am driven to do so by the persuasive powers of WRCB School Patrol reporter/anchor/author David "I-have-more-ties-than-you" Carroll, whose coupon book promos run every six minutes on Channel 3.
And every year I tell David and dozens of people around me that this will be the year when I put those coupons to work almost immediately, making sure I get all the discounts and savings that are afforded me through the purchase of said coupon book, where all the deals will expire at the end of August.
But nooooooo.
With just days left I have rediscovered my Hamilton County Schools coupon book in the console of my car and have precious little time to get to work on achieving my savings, discounts and BOGO deals.
Fair warning to several food places, frame shops, cleaners, Ducks, and tire stores. That's me coming in on two wheels, mask on, coupon out. Know your code, know the deal you offered and be ready to deliver. Fast!
And if there's a new coupon book coming soon, I sure hope Hoppy's new North Chattanooga store is in it. Can't wait to shop there!
