Furniture Repairman Was Longtime Member Of East Chattanooga Church Of God

Eugene “Gene” Jacobs, age 91, of Chattanooga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 9th, 2021. 

Gene was a retired furniture repairman and had worked with Gene’s Salvage for over 12 years.  He was a longtime member of East Chattanooga Church of God.   

He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 70 years, Wanda Lea Jacobs; mother, Lema Harris; siblings, Raymond Jacobs and Kathleen DeBord.     

Gene is survived by his daughters, Janet Camden, and Charlene Jacobs; grandchildren, Corinne Camden and Kristen (Matt) Estes; great grandchildren, Camden, Jackson and Morgan; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, January 16, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel with Brother Bill Stokes officiating.  Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
