Philip Roark
Phillip Ray Roark Sr., 78, of Georgetown, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021.
A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was the son of the late James and Irene Allison Roark.
He was a graduate of Birchwood High School and was a member of the Bayside Baptist Church for the past 45 years. He was the owner of Roark & Sons Construction Company.
He is survived by his wife Beverley Roark; four children, Felicia (Tony) Moorehead, Philip Ray “Chip” Roark II, Andrea Roark and Gary Randall “Randy” Roark; four grandchildren Braley Moorehead, Kinley Moorehead, Bree Roark and Weston Roark; three sisters, Jean Holder, Janice Cooper and Joy (Chris) Denton.
All Covid mandates will be in place, such as wearing a mask and social distancing at the church and at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Bayside Baptist Church from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, with the service beginning at 7 p.m. Rev. Grady Cooper will officiate.
Interment will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at New McDonald Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Bayside Baptist Church, in support of the Wildcat Christian Academy, 6100 Highway 58, Harrison, Tn. 37341.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153.
