Brenda Joyce Harris, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021, in a local hospital.   

She was born on Aug. 13, 1943, in Chattanooga, to the parents of Jewel Hardaway Choice and Floyd Myers, Sr.  She attended Howard High School.  Brenda was a devoted wife and mother.  She was a dedicated member of the Lookout Mountain Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Haradway Choice and father, Floyd Myers Sr.; brothers, Alvin Choice and Floyd Myers Jr.: sister, Valerie Myers; sons, Robert Lee Jackson and Reginald Renar Jackson. 

Survivors include her devoted husband of 45 years, Billy Frank Harris; daughter, Missie King; sons, Alfonzo Hardaway, Andre’ Jackson, Cedric Jackson, David Jackson, and Marvin Jackson; sister, Priscilla Choice; grandchildren, Tempest (Eric) Meriweather, Andre’ Jackson, Jr., Markcus (Ameilia) Kitchens, Reginald “Reggie” Kitchens, and Brice Jackson; great-grandchildren, Arianna and Ariya Meriweather, Aaliyah Robinson, Malik Amari Parker, and Alexianna Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.  

Brenda will lie in state on Friday, Feb. 26, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Burial will be on Saturday, Feb. 27, at noon in Highland Memorial Gardens.
