Dorothy Green
Dorothy Louise Green, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away on March 5, 2021.
Dorothy was a graduate of Central High School. She was a past member of East Lake UMC. Dorothy worked for REA Express. Some of her favorite times were spent at the bowling alley with her REA Express Team. She even continued bowling in the league after the company closed. Dorothy was a huge Atlanta Braves fan as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Russell Green, her parents, Bill and Ida Hill, and a sister Mary Alice Baubach.
Left behind to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her children, Diane Mabry, Perry Green, Karen (Danny) Brown, Natalie (Bryan) Lewis, and Jeff (Steffanie) Green, grandchildren, Mike, Steve (Lori), Amanda (Carl), Weston (Dawn), Samuel (Samantha), Rachel (Michael), Camden, Carson, Cade, four great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, special niece, Cindy Baubach, several cousins, and many special friends.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Sunday, March 7, at 5 p.m. with her grandsons, Weston Brown and Samuel Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.
